It's all about the jobs numbers.

Friday markets opened the day up as the unemployment rate fell to 4.1%.  The U.S. economy added 254,000 new job in September--the highest number since February. With the job growth rebound, this increases the likelihood for rate cuts next month.

As we cross the 10 am ET. hour, all indices are in the green. The $S&P 500 Index (.SPX.US)$ is up 0.37%; the  $Dow Jones Industrial Average (.DJI.US)$ is  up 0.44%, and the $Nasdaq Composite Index (.IXIC.US)$ is up 0.61%.

Oil prices are still rising, in part from President Biden's comments that the US was discussing possible strikes by Israel on Iran’s oil industry.

In light of today's early market news, $CBOE Volatility S&P 500 Index (.VIX.US)$ is off 6.11% to 19.24.
