The Dewan Rakyat today will address pressing issues surrounding the management of low-cost housing and government quarters, focusing on policies and measures for improvement.

According to the Order Paper, Suhaizan Kaiat (PH-Pulai) is set to question the Minister of Housing and Local Government on the effectiveness of the Commissioner of Buildings (COB) and local authorities (PBT) in tackling infrastructure damages in low-cost flats. The inquiry will take place during the Minister's Question Time at 10 a.m.

Meanwhile, MP Kulim Bandar Baharu, Roslan Hashim will raise the idea of introducing an exit policy for public housing. The proposed policy aims to encourage long-term residents, particularly those who have stayed over 10 years, to purchase homes, potentially freeing up units for new civil servants and alleviating rental pressures.

MP Bandar Tun Razak, Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail will bring attention to a United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) report revealing that 12.3% of teenagers aged 15–17 in Klang Valley People's Housing Projects (PPR) experience mental health issues and suicidal tendencies. She will ask the Minister of Education to outline actions being taken to address these challenges during the oral answers session.

The Dewan Rakyat will also continue its committee-level winding-up debate on the Supply Bill (Budget) 2025, with relevant ministries presenting their responses.

The current sitting, which began on Oct 14, is scheduled to conclude on Dec 12 after 35 days of deliberation.
