$Advanced Micro Devices (AMD.US)$ unveiled Monday an extensive lineup of next-generation processors and gaming products ahead of Consumer Electronics Show 2025 in Las Vegas, targeting the growing demand for high-performance AI-enabled PCs, gaming systems, and mobile devices.

Next-Gen Processors: AI PCs And Enterprise Innovation

AMD introduced the Ryzen AI Max Series, Ryzen AI 300 Series, and Ryzen AI 200 Series processors, built on AMD's Zen 5 and Zen 4 architectures. These processors cater to a variety of users, from premium thin-and-light notebooks to everyday productivity tasks.

For enterprise users, AMD expanded its Ryzen PRO Series lineup, integrating advanced AMD PRO Technologies for security and IT manageability.

"With the next generation of AI-enabled processors, we are proliferating AI to devices everywhere, bringing the power of a workstation to thin and light laptops," said Jack Huynh, AMD's senior vice president and general manager of Computing and Graphics.

The flagship Ryzen AI Max processors boast up to 16 Zen 5 CPU cores, 40 AMD RDNA 3.5 graphics compute units, and an AMD XDNA 2 Neural Processing Unit capable of 50 trillion operations per second. Systems powered by these processors will be available starting in the first quarter 2025.

Gaming: Pushing Desktop And Mobile Performance Limits

AMD's gaming announcements were headlined by the new Ryzen 9950X3D and Ryzen 9900X3D desktop processors, featuring 2nd-generation 3D V-Cache technology for unprecedented gaming and content-creation performance. Both processors are based on AMD's Zen 5 cores and optimized for high clock speeds and lower temperatures.

For handheld gaming enthusiasts, AMD launched the Ryzen Z2 Series processors, promising AAA gaming experiences on portable devices with up to 8 cores and AMD RDNA 3.5 architecture. These systems are also slated for release in the first quarter of the year.

"Gaming has become one of the biggest forms of entertainment worldwide," Huynh stated, adding, "Today's announcements underscore our commitment to delivering hardware that eliminates performance bottlenecks for gamers."

Collaboration With Dell

AMD also announced its Ryzen AI PRO processors will power Dell Technologies Inc.'s (NYSE:DELL) new commercial PC lineup.

These devices mark Dell's first use of AMD's AI-focused silicon in enterprise PCs, a milestone in their long-standing partnership.

"We're incredibly proud to collaborate with Dell on the next generation of commercial PCs," Huynh said.

Sam Burd, President of the Client Solutions Group at Dell Technologies, highlighted the importance of AI innovation, stating, "AI PCs represent the next frontier in computing, transforming how we work, create and connect."

Market Reactions

Minutes after the product announcements, AMD shares briefly dipped before rebounding, supported by optimistic projections for its AI and gaming processors.

At the time of writing, AMD stock was up 3.8% intraday, though still down over 7% year-over-year.

Shares of Dell Technologies were also 3.8% higher by 3:40 p.m. ET, holding session gains.
