Day 2 Strategy!
Surprisingly went positive in the first day of Money Master as a complete noob!
How I decided to try to approach this was just through trying to observe current trends and picking stocks that seem to be on an upswing. As someone with almost 0 domain knowledge in stocks and which are good and bad, I'm kind of playing a game of pattern recognition, which I think will only really work in the short term ![]()
(fortunately, this competition is only short term as well). Fortunately, the Moomoo app also gives handy visualisations to help in spotting patterns and understanding trends! ![]()
I also tried to model a linear regression that uses historical tired data from the past month (as well as the volatility) to predict future prices. This is just formalizing what Moomoo allows you to see with your human eyes through their data and visualizations! My regression looks something like this:
I'll see whether this works and might try a few other strategies in the coming week! (Fortunately I'm not using real money to run these tests) Excited to see how they turn out! ![]()
