I believe everyone had beginner luck, provided they don't close their trade very early and willing to withstand the ups and downs of their stock.
For instance, when I started back in early March 2020, I bought a put on $SPDR 標普500指數ETF (SPY.US)$ when the virus started but many place is not lock down yet. it went up and down, which I closed my position in loss as I am fear of the uncertainty. Now looking back, if I hold it to  almost the end of the expiry date, I would easily 8-9x my principal if I stay firm with what I believe in.
During the same period of time, I also invested in $特斯拉 (TSLA.US)$ and $比特幣 (BTC.CC)$, and I held and dollar cost average till today. There's many time I had the feeling of selling them but in the end I just ignored these feelings. As I know I need to believe in myself and do nothing unless my conviction has changed.
So do I have beginner luck? I will say yes but it depends on the how long your time horizon is. So don't penny wise pound fullish.
