The Delaware State Senate confirmed Robert Coupe, formerly a Superintendent of the Delaware State Police, to become the first cannabis commissioner for the state, carrying the responsibility to develop the recreational marijuana sales market.
On Wednesday afternoon, the Senate gave unanimous approval, passing by a vote of 19-0, to Governor John Carney's nomination of Coupe, who spent nearly three decades in the Delaware State Police, with two senators absent.
