Capital Investment Trends At Omega Flex (NASDAQ:OFLX) Look Strong
Capital Investment Trends At Omega Flex (NASDAQ:OFLX) Look Strong
What are the early trends we should look for to identify a stock that could multiply in value over the long term? Amongst other things, we'll want to see two things; firstly, a growing return on capital employed (ROCE) and secondly, an expansion in the company's amount of capital employed. Ultimately, this demonstrates that it's a business that is reinvesting profits at increasing rates of return. That's why when we briefly looked at Omega Flex's (NASDAQ:OFLX) ROCE trend, we were very happy with what we saw.
Return On Capital Employed (ROCE): What Is It?
Just to clarify if you're unsure, ROCE is a metric for evaluating how much pre-tax income (in percentage terms) a company earns on the capital invested in its business. To calculate this metric for Omega Flex, this is the formula:
Return on Capital Employed = Earnings Before Interest and Tax (EBIT) ÷ (Total Assets - Current Liabilities)
0.34 = US$27m ÷ (US$96m - US$15m) (Based on the trailing twelve months to September 2023).
0.34 = 2700 萬美元 ¥(9600 萬美元至 1,500 萬美元) (基於截至2023年9月的過去十二個月)。
Thus, Omega Flex has an ROCE of 34%. That's a fantastic return and not only that, it outpaces the average of 12% earned by companies in a similar industry.

The Trend Of ROCE
ROCE 的趨勢
Omega Flex deserves to be commended in regards to it's returns. Over the past five years, ROCE has remained relatively flat at around 34% and the business has deployed 24% more capital into its operations. With returns that high, it's great that the business can continually reinvest its money at such appealing rates of return. If these trends can continue, it wouldn't surprise us if the company became a multi-bagger.
