Some Oxford Industries, Inc. (NYSE:OXM) shareholders may be a little concerned to see that the EVP & Chief Information Officer, Thomas Campbell, recently sold a substantial US$1.8m worth of stock at a price of US$99.91 per share. That's a big disposal, and it decreased their holding size by 41%, which is notable but not too bad.

The Last 12 Months Of Insider Transactions At Oxford Industries

In the last twelve months, the biggest single sale by an insider was when the Chief Executive Officer of Tommy Bahama Group, Douglas Wood, sold US$3.5m worth of shares at a price of US$105 per share. So we know that an insider sold shares at around the present share price of US$101. While we don't usually like to see insider selling, it's more concerning if the sales take place at a lower price. Given that the sale took place at around current prices, it makes us a little cautious but is hardly a major concern.
