CHS Inc., the nation's leading agribusiness cooperative, announced today the opening of a new state-of-the-art facility, the CHS Crop Science Research and Development Center in Randolph, Minn.

"This research center will play a critical role in shaping the future of the CHS agronomic portfolio," said Dean Hendrickson, vice president for crop protection research and development, CHS. We'll apply the rigor and ambitious standards to our research trials that CHS customers have come to trust and rely on."

The new research center will complement the in-field trials CHS already conducts across its trade territory. Completed in January 2024, the center was built using advanced building materials designed to improve light transmission, enhance thermal efficiency and increase life expectancy of the facility. The center will allow teams to simulate up to four growing seasons per year while replicating up to six growing environments, reproducing conditions across several agricultural regions.

"The new CHS research center gives us more control over the R&D process and helps ensure that when a new product meets our stringent criteria and is ready for market, we can provide critical information to our customers and demonstrate the efficacy data they require."
