B.I.G Industries Shuts Concrete Division
B.I.G Industries has announced that it will ceasse its concrete division which is presently operated by Uni-Mix Sdn Bhd ("UMIX"); Uni-Mix Concrete Products Sdn Bhd; and Kinalaju Supply Sdn Bhd.
B.I.G工業宣佈將停止由Uni-Mix Sdn Bhd（“UMIX”），Uni-Mix Concrete Products Sdn Bhd和Kinalaju Supply Sdn Bhd運營的混凝土部門。
The group said the concrete division operates in a very competitive environment and the decision on the closure is inevitable based on the historical financial performance and weak business outlook.
集團表示，混凝土部門在競爭激烈的環境中運營，根據歷史財務表現和薄弱的業務前景，決定關閉是不可避免的。
B.I.G said the concrete division has been loss making as it operates in a very competitive price sensitive business environment served by operators like ourselves and contractors who have their own on-site batching plants and casting yards at their job sites.
B.I.G表示，由於混凝土部門在一個價格敏感的競爭激烈的業務環境中運營，因此一直處於虧損狀態。我們和承包商自己在他們的工地上有自己的攪拌廠和鑄造場地。多年來的財務損失是由於市場需求/成交量低於盈虧平衡點和缺乏我們所在區域的建築相關活動所導致的。截至2022年6月30日的財務年度虧損爲RM660,658，截至2023年6月30日的財務年度虧損爲RM157,619。未經審計的2024年3月31日之前9個月的稅前虧損爲RM446,599。
It also added the financial losses over the years were a result of low demand / volume below breakeven, lack of construction related activities in area we operate. Losses for Financial year ended 30 June 2022 – RM660,658 while Financial year ended 30 June 2023 – RM157,619. Unaudited losses before tax for the 9 months ended 31 March 2024 is RM446,599.
該集團注意到，業務停止後，運營損失將停止。
The group noted that the operational losses will cease with the cessation of business.
