Shares of Abbott Laboratories (NYSE:ABT) are trading lower on Thursday following the company's second-quarter 2024 financial results.

Overall diagnostics sales fell 5.3% to $2.19 billion. Meanwhile, nutrition sales increased 3.5% to $2.15 billion, with a 7.5% organic growth rate.

In June, the company announced FDA clearance for two new over-the-counter continuous glucose monitoring systems, Lingo and Libre Rio, based on the FreeStyle Libre technology. Additionally, Abbott obtained a CE Mark for its AVEIR dual chamber leadless pacemaker system.
