Singapore, 8 August 2024 – Singtel today announced the launch of Southeast Asia's first National Quantum-Safe Network Plus (NQSN+), which employs modern quantum security solutions to protect enterprises against quantum threats, as well as a customised programme for enterprises to trial the technology before adoption.

Singtel's Quantum-Safe Network (QSN) supports a range of network and security devices, ensuring easy and seamless integration and enhanced connectivity for enterprises that are keen to secure their communications across the island. The advanced network also extends quantum-safe security to new use cases and applications such as identity, mobility and authentication services.

Mr Ng Tian Chong, Chief Executive Officer, Singtel Singapore said, "Singtel has always played a central role in our nation's security. Singtel was appointed by the Infocomm Media Development Authority last year to develop Singapore's first NQSN+ to fortify Singapore's resilience against quantum threats in the next decade.

Building digital resilience among enterprises nationwide

Singtel is launching a three-phase pilot programme that includes exploration workshops to build awareness and use cases, integration testbeds to validate interoperability and live trials to gain insights into network behaviour, assess operational aspects, and experience comprehensive end-to-end managed services. This structured approach is designed to guide and support enterprises at every step – ensuring risk-free and seamless integration of new quantum-safe technologies throughout their adoption journey. Singtel will also work closely with enterprises to develop tailored quantum-safe use cases for their respective industries.

Singtel's Quantum-Safe Network is part of its domestic network offerings which are built and engineered to secure business-critical data and provide enhanced security for data networks and flexibility as a managed service.
