BURSA Malaysia recovered from earlier losses to close marginally higher today, maintaining its consolidation trend due to cautious trading ahead of the earnings season. Profit-taking in property stocks, which had recently experienced a rally, was noted by analysts.

By 5pm, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) was up by 0.04% or 0.59 points, ending the day at 1,612.94, compared to Wednesday's (August 14) closing of 1,612.35.
