Maxis, Malaysia's leading integrated telecommunications operator, and China Mobile International (CMI), a global telecommunications giant, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the China Mobile Southeast Asia Cooperation Conference in Bangkok. This partnership is poised to accelerate 5G initiatives, leveraging the strengths of both companies to foster innovation and drive growth in the telecommunications sector.

The signing ceremony was attended by senior executives from both organisations, including Gao Tongqing, Executive Vice President of China Mobile Communications Group Co., Ltd.; Goh Seow Eng, Chief Executive Officer of Maxis; Wang Hua, Chairman and CEO of CMI; and Tan Cheng Peng, Acting Chief Technology Strategy Officer of Maxis. Their presence underscores the strong commitment of both Maxis and CMI to this strategic collaboration.
