Ubisoft Launches Blockchain Game With NFTs Priced As High As $64,000

"The team inside the Ubisoft Paris studio developing Champions Tactics partnered with Ubisoft's Strategic Innovation Lab and Oasys to ensure that our use of blockchain was done in service of delivering new and innovative gaming experiences for our players."

The game has received an Adults Only rating, which may relate to its blockchain elements and use of cryptocurrency. Ubisoft has not commented on this rating.

This launch follows Ubisoft's earlier attempt to introduce NFTs in gaming. In December 2021, the company launched its NFT platform, Quartz, with Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint as the first game to feature NFTs.
