From November 5 to 10, the 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE) was held in Shanghai.

Here, COSCO SHIPPING showcased its latest products and achievements in digital supply chain services and marine new energy industry chain construction through a huge electronic screen.

The digital twin display of a ship allowed visitors to gain an overview of maritime transportation, while switching to the digital twin factory offered a glimpse into green manufacturing and intelligent workshops, reflecting COSCO SHIPPING's vision of becoming a world-class shipping technology company.

Second Stop: Booths B4 and B5, Hall 8.2 of Trade in Services Pavilion

COSCO SHIPPING has established a 657-square-meter core exhibition area here, spotlighting 16 overseas port and shipping logistics companies. Centered around the global digital supply chain, the company invites you to embark on a new journey of green and intelligent shipping. A variety of immersive simulation experiences offer fresh insights into smart shipping. The meticulously designed "Digital Smart Port" sand table model, the technologically advanced sailing simulator, and the engaging sailor knot tying activity all make their debut at the Expo, providing a one-stop experience.

Digital Smart Port Sand Table Model

This sand table illustrates how smart ports utilize cutting-edge technology to achieve automation and intelligence in port operations. It demonstrates 24-hour uninterrupted loading and unloading, enhancing operational efficiency and safety while promoting green and low-carbon environmental practices.

Navigation Simulator

Employing advanced virtual reality and semi-physical simulation technologies, this simulator dynamically displays port facilities, ship data, navigation data, and natural environments in a three-dimensional scene. Users can navigate ships through narrow waterways, maneuver to avoid collisions, and experience various sea conditions including rain, snow, lightning, different winds, waves, and currents.

Sailor Knot Live Experience Activity

Sailor knots are essential in maritime work for their reliability, ease of tying and untying, and quick deployment in lifting cargo, rescue operations, and securing suspensions. At this event, experienced boatswains will demonstrate and teach the art of tying these knots.

In addition, 13 professional theme salons will be held on-site, guiding you to a green and digital future. These salons will bring together the latest innovative insights and practical case studies from the industry, providing a platform for academic exchange and analysis.

At this year's CIIE, COSCO SHIPPING has invited a total of 71 exhibitors, covering an exhibition area of 2,597.5 square meters—a 15.4% increase compared to last year and a new record high over past seven years. Furthermore, COSCO SHIPPING transported more than 70% of the inbound exhibits and provided domestic transportation services to five venues, including the National Pavilion, the Food and Agricultural Products Pavilion, and the Automobile Pavilion, assisting over 1,300 exhibitors from 128 countries and regions in participating the Expo.
