Tech stocks led the way, with strong Salesforce and Marvell Technology earnings reports. $Salesforce (CRM.US)$ jumped 9% after the company posted Q3 revenue that beat estimates. $Marvell Technology (MRVL.US)$ soared 24% after beating earnings expectations and issuing strong Q4 guidance. The stock was approaching its best daily performance since May 26, 2023.

Other stocks making gains were $Roku Inc (ROKU.US)$. The stock rose 11% after an analyst said company was takeover target. $JetBlue Airways (JBLU.US)$ shares increased 8%. While it forecast a smaller decline in its full-year revenue guidance than initially expected, November and December's higher-than-anticipated bookings had JetBlue expanding its forecast.

Also contributing to the market’s rally, was the news of President-elect Trump’s nominee for the Securities and Exchange Commission Chair, Paul Atkins, a former SEC commissioner and crypto supporter.

Jobs numbers are on investors and traders minds. But before Friday's unemployment data, on Wednesday an ADP report showed in November, private payrolls growth was less than expected. Companies added 146,000; economists polled by Dow Jones had estimated 163,000.
