Carlo Rino's Listing Transfer Meets Bearish Market Sentiment
Carlo Rino is principally involved in the design, promotion, distribution, retail and marketing of women's handbags, footwear and accessories including eyewear. Carlo Rino Group Bhd today transferred the group's listing from the LEAP market to the ACE market amid bearish stock market. As at 9:16am, Carlo Rino's stock traded at RM0.23, down four sen from the listing price of RM0.27 on a volume of 33,509,200 shares/units.

In conjunction with the listing transfer, the group through an Initial Public Offering (IPO) exercise has issued a total of 171,865,700 new ordinary shares of which 122,189,700 shares have been made available for private placement to bumiputera investors, 800,000 shares for independent non-executive directors, and 48,876,000 shares for the Malaysian public.

According to Carlo Rino, proceeds from the IPO will be utilised for the construction and fitting out of a new flagship boutique at Jalan Imbi, Kuala Lumpur and other facilities, including IT and security systems; refurbishment of boutiques and counters at departmental stores; and the maintenance of IT infrastructure. The remaining proceeds will be utilised towards working capital of the group and payment of IPO expenses.
