The Marijuana debate. I think we need a very good dose of reality about now when it comes to the federal government and legalizing Marijuana. Not until 2028
Where are we and what is the likelihood. Where we are is no where, we hear about this flurry of legislation but that is not a true picture. The safe banking act. there is nothing new here and the only way that is getting passed it to include it on critical legislation such as aid for Ukraine or the like. That has been proven several times all ready and in the end the banking legislation gets stripped off as the democrats don't have the clout or power they think they have. Actual legislation such as the More Act, this legislation has been passed by the house a couple times but the democrats again don't have the clout to get it put up for a vote in the senate let alone passed. what about after mid-terms?
The possibility that the Democrats will hold onto the house and take over the senate is not a likely scenario. If the democrats lose the mid-term, meaning they keep their seats in the senate but lose their majority in the house, then the issue is dead and won't come up again until the next election and for that to become reality a Democrat will need to win the presidency and the likelihood of that is zero.
Realistically speaking it will be at least another 2 years , however my money is on 6 years. Before legalization is passed.
in 6 years the possibility of a Democrat winning the presidency will be high but most importantly the key Republicans that today are blocking reform , Senator's Rubio, Crapo, Lindsay Graham and Mitch McConnell will won't be in office anymore as tge will retire be retired, die, or vote out. so my prediction is 2028. The Democrats are in effective. they suck.
