Amazon, Nvidia and other companies related to the cloud computing and semiconductor industries have "significant opportunities"

With the recently concluded Mobile World Congress (Mobile World Congress) showcasing products from technology companies in a variety of fields, investment bank Wedbush noted that even though concerns about the economic downturn remain, there are still "significant opportunities" for companies related to the cloud and semiconductor industries.

Wedbush analyst Dan Ive pointed out that Amazon, Microsoft $マイクロソフト (MSFT.US)$ and Google $アルファベット クラスA (GOOGL.US)$ are likely to see increased spending by telecom companies, as the world continues to deploy 5G mobile technology, the three companies in recent years with T- mobile US $Tモバイル (TMUS.US)$ , AT&T $エーティー・アンド・ティー (T.US)$ , Verizon $ベライゾン・コミュニケーションズ (VZ.US)$ and Dish Network to help the latter get more efficient networks, lower latency and faster speeds.

Analysts point out that Amazon's cloud computing arm AWS has partnerships with all three major telecom companies and signed an agreement with Dish Network last year; Microsoft reached a partnership agreement with AT&T in 2019 worth about $2 billion and acquired the latter's network cloud platform technology; and Google and IBM $アイビーエム (IBM.US)$ have both signed agreements with the telecom industry.

In addition, the analysts noted that the semiconductor industry figured prominently in the Mobile World Congress, with $インテル (INTC.US)$ , Qualcomm $クアルコム (QCOM.US)$ and Nvidia $エヌビディア (NVDA.US)$ all positioning themselves to profit from the shift to 5G.
　　
Citing data from the GSMA network, the analysts say more than 1 billion 5G connections are expected by the end of this year and 2 billion by 2025, further evidence of the "significant opportunity" for companies associated with the cloud and semiconductor industries
