U.S. stocks fell on Monday as investors brace ahead of the U.S. presidential election on Tuesday as well as the Federal Reserve interest rate decision later this week. The Dow Jones fell up to 400 points intraday and recouped losses before closing 250 points lower. Meanwhile the S&P 500 inched 0.3% lower, weighed by utilities stocks as 7 out of the 11 S&P sectors closed lower. Most tech stocks also fell, dragging the Nasdaq-100 lower by 0.4%, while Nvidia inched higher as it is set to replace Intel in the Dow Jones Index.
