Employers Holdings Insider Transactions Over The Last Year

In the last twelve months, the biggest single purchase by an insider was when President Katherine Antonello bought US$251k worth of shares at a price of US$36.46 per share. Although we like to see insider buying, we note that this large purchase was at significantly below the recent price of US$42.04. While it does suggest insiders consider the stock undervalued at lower prices, this transaction doesn't tell us much about what they think of current prices.

Insider Ownership Of Employers Holdings

I like to look at how many shares insiders own in a company, to help inform my view of how aligned they are with insiders. I reckon it's a good sign if insiders own a significant number of shares in the company. It appears that Employers Holdings insiders own 1.4% of the company, worth about US$15m. While this is a strong but not outstanding level of insider ownership, it's enough to indicate some alignment between management and smaller shareholders.
