Possible Bearish Signals With Winnebago Industries Insiders Disposing Stock

ウィニベーゴインダストリーズ社の内部関係者が株式を処分する可能性のある弱気シグナル

In the last year, many Winnebago Industries, Inc. (NYSE:WGO) insiders sold a substantial stake in the company which may have sparked shareholders' attention. When evaluating insider transactions, knowing whether insiders are buying versus if they selling is usually more beneficial, as the latter can be open to many interpretations. However, when multiple insiders sell stock over a specific duration, shareholders should take notice as that could possibly be a red flag.

While we would never suggest that investors should base their decisions solely on what the directors of a company have been doing, we would consider it foolish to ignore insider transactions altogether.

The Last 12 Months Of Insider Transactions At Winnebago Industries

In the last twelve months, the biggest single sale by an insider was when the President of Grand Design RV, Donald Clark, sold US$20m worth of shares at a price of US$67.89 per share. That means that even when the share price was below the current price of US$71.97, an insider wanted to cash in some shares. We generally consider it a negative if insiders have been selling, especially if they did so below the current price, because it implies that they considered a lower price to be reasonable. However, while insider selling is sometimes discouraging, it's only a weak signal. We note that the biggest single sale was only 42% of Donald Clark's holding.
