Malaysian Shares Maintain Winning Streak; Shares of Ge-Shen Rally 10%

Malaysian shares ended in black on Tuesday, extending gains of the previous session as the investors sentiment remained upbeat. The index opened marginally lower but kept adding gains as the session progressed.

The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI, the main gauge of Malaysian stocks, gained 3.97 points to end 0.26% higher at 1,547.99. The day ranged between 1,540.77 and 1,550.99.

In other news, Malaysia's official pilgrimage manager Lembaga Tabung Haji declared a profit distribution of 3.10 ringgit after zakat for the financial year 2023, amounting to an aggregate of 2.72 billion ringgit.

In corporate news, shares of the shares of the metal stamping company Ge-Shen (KLSE:GESHEN) jumped nearly 10%, and those of the multinational conglomerate Panasonic Manufacturing Malaysia (KLSE:PANAMY) rose over 5% today.

Meanwhile, shares of the direct marketing company Amway (Malaysia) (KLSE:AMWAY) gained over 3% on Tuesday's close.
