Theta Edge has confirmed on the appointment of Tan Sri Abd Rahman Mamat as the group's new Chairman with immediate effect.
Tan Sri Abd Rahman held various positions in the government but notably as the Secretary General in Ministry of International Trade and Industry Malaysia from June 2004 to September 2006. He also held the position as Deputy Secretary General in Ministry of International Trade and Industry Malaysia prior to that.
Between 2002 to 2004,Tan Sri Abd Rahman was the Senior Director in Policy and Industry Services Division Ministry of International Trade and Industry and at one point was the Director in Export Promotion Bureau Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE. Other roles include as the Special Assistant to the Minister of International Trade and Industry, Hon Tan Sri Rafidah Aziz in Ministry of International Trade and Industry Malaysia and Economic Counsellor / Trade Commissioner & Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations Economic and Social Commission (ESCAP) in Malaysian Trade Office Bangkok Thailand.
Tan Sri Abd Rahman also hold directorship in MBSB, LOTTE Chemical, MCE Holdings and ECA Intergrated.
