Many Nongfu Spring Co., Ltd. (HKG:9633) insiders ditched their stock over the past year, which may be of interest to the company's shareholders. Knowing whether insiders are buying is usually more helpful when evaluating insider transactions, as insider selling can have various explanations. However, when multiple insiders sell stock over a specific duration, shareholders should take notice as that could possibly be a red flag.

While we would never suggest that investors should base their decisions solely on what the directors of a company have been doing, we would consider it foolish to ignore insider transactions altogether.

Nongfu Spring Insider Transactions Over The Last Year

Over the last year, we can see that the biggest insider sale was by the insider, Lian Xue, for HK$64m worth of shares, at about HK$45.39 per share. We generally don't like to see insider selling, but the lower the sale price, the more it concerns us. The silver lining is that this sell-down took place above the latest price (HK$34.70). So it is hard to draw any strong conclusion from it.
