Insider Stock Buying Reaches US$3.99m On Barnes Group

Quite a few insiders have dramatically grown their holdings in Barnes Group Inc. (NYSE:B) over the past 12 months. An insider's optimism about the company's prospects is a positive sign.

Even though the purchase was made at a significantly lower price than the recent price (US$43.54), we still think insider buying is a positive. Because the shares were purchased at a lower price, this particular buy doesn't tell us much about how insiders feel about the current share price.

Over the last year, we can see that insiders have bought 185.48k shares worth US$4.0m. But insiders sold 1.25k shares worth US$29k.
