Bursa Malaysia remained robust at midday, supported by persistent buying in heavyweight stocks and following the trend of its regional counterparts.
During the lunch break, the 30-stock index climbed by 8.96 points, or 0.56%, reaching 1,599.34 after peaking at 1,604.06 earlier in the day.
In the broader market, gainers outpaced losers with 1,039 stocks advancing and 304 declining, suggesting stronger bullish control. Trading volume reached 2.6 billion shares, with a total value of RM1.46 billion.
