Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) today announced significant leadership changes in its Asia operations. Kiran Prakash has been appointed Head of First Party Lines, overseeing the Energy, Construction, and General Property sectors across the region. Additionally, Jessie Yuen has been promoted to Head of Energy, Asia, succeeding Min Ong, who has relocated to London to serve as Underwriting Manager, Energy Property, at BHSI. Jess Au will continue in her role as Head of General Property in Asia.

Marc Breuil, Head of Asia and the Middle East at BHSI, highlighted the impact of these leaders on the company's growth. "BHSI has experienced strong, profitable growth in Asia. Kiran, in building our Construction business, and Jessie, in strategically positioning our Energy Property portfolio, have been pivotal to our expansion," said Breuil. "Their efforts in bringing the 'BHSI story' to the marketplace and fostering strong relationships have been instrumental to our success."

Kiran Prakash, who joined BHSI in 2015 as Vice President and Regional Head of Engineering and Builders Risk in Asia, will continue to hold this role in addition to his new responsibilities. With nearly 20 years of experience in the insurance industry and a background in mechanical engineering, Kiran has played a crucial role in BHSI's development.

Jessie Yuen, who joined BHSI in 2019 as a Property Energy Underwriter, brings more than 20 years of experience with first-party lines to her new position. As Head of Energy, Asia, Jessie will oversee BHSI's Property Energy business in the region, providing tailored solutions for power, mining, and oil & gas customers.
