Kerjaya Prospek Group Berhad announced its second quarter results recording a 17.5% increase, year on year, in profit after tax and minority interest ("PATAMI") to RM37.1 million for Q2FYE2024, while revenue surged 27.8% to RM395.4 million, primarily driven by increased in construction activities.
For the first half of 2024 ("1H2024"), PATAMI amounted to RM70.6 million, representing an increase of 15.8% compared to the same period in the preceding year, on the back of a revenue of RM732.6 million, which reported an impressive year on year increase of 20.8%. The construction segment, which is the main revenue driver, recorded a 16.3% increase in revenue to RM704.1 million. The property development segment recorded a revenue of RM27.2 million, largely from the launch of The Vue @ Monterez and Papyrus @ North Kiara.
Kerjaya continues to strengthen its financial position, with a net cash position of RM231.4 million as at end 1H2024.
The Group has declared a second interim single-tier dividend of 2.5 sen per share for the financial year ending 31 December 2024, to be paid on 11 October 2024. This brings the total dividend declared to date for the current financial year to 5.0 sen per share, amounting to RM63.1 million.
