Spectrum Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month With Collection of Curated Movies

Dozens of On Demand Movies Available for Spectrum TV Customers, Sept. 15-Oct. 15

Featured titles include 'Blue Beetle,' 'In the Heights' and 'Pain and Glory'

Spectrum is celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with a special On Demand collection of movies available for customers to access for free or rent from September 15 through October 15. The collection features an eclectic mix of genres including action, drama, comedy and musicals with stars like Eugenio Derbez, Salma Hayek, Melissa Barrera and Anthony Ramos.

Free Movies for Spectrum TV Customers

Spectrum TV customers can find free movies by navigating to the National Hispanic Heritage Month On Demand category, depending on their level of TV service. Free titles available include "Overboard," a 2018 remake of the 1987 cult classic, starring Eugenio Derbez as a wealthy playboy with amnesia, misled by a single mother into believing they are married; the 2021 film adaptation of Lin-Manuel Miranda's musical, "In the Heights," which celebrates the community of Washington Heights as its residents chase their dreams and navigate life's challenges; and "Frida," the 2002 biographical drama with Salma Hayek as the legendary artist Frida Kahlo.

Must-See Rentals This Hispanic Heritage Month

Spectrum TV customers also can enjoy a collection of movies for rent under the Hispanic Heritage category. Included among the rental titles are "Blue Beetle," a 2023 action story celebrated for its cultural significance as the first major superhero film with a Latino lead; "Pain and Glory," a 2019 drama featuring Antonio Banderas as a film director reflecting on his past while grappling with physical and mental decline; and "Spare Parts," a 2015 film starring George Lopez about a substitute teacher who motivates four Hispanic high school students to compete in a prestigious robotics competition. For films the whole family can enjoy, from September 15-October 15, Spectrum is also offering a special collection, under the Kids Hispanic Heritage category, featuring films like "Puss in Boots," "CoCo," "Rio 2," and "Ferdinand."
