Nova Wellness Group announces that the Drug Control Authority Ministry of Health Malaysia has approved Nova Hepar-P Capsule with a modern claim for liver support making it the first product to receive a modern claim approval in Malaysia.
Modern claims refer to assertions made based on scientific evidence that aim to improve health, reduce the risk of disease, or assist in treating disease symptoms. The apporval comes after the company conducted clinical trial at three Hospitals in Malaysia to assess the efficacy and safety of Hepar-P in patients with NAFLD.
The group said the clinical trial was randomised, multi-centered, placebo-controlled, double-blind trial conducted in three hospitals in Malaysia namely; Hospital Sultanah Bahiyah in Alor Setar, Hospital Ampang, and Hospital Selayang.
The approval will give Nova a new potential for earnings growth.
