The benchmark KLCI today closed above the threshold of 1,640 points. At closing, FBM KLCI rose 4.55 points to settle at 1,645.99 points.
MBM Resources Bhd topped the gainers list, advancing 18 sen to settle at RM6.18, followed by Chin Hin Group Bhd which gained 15 sen to end the day with RM2.37.
Gas Malaysia Bhd, Hu Cement Industries Bhd, and Kuala Lumpur Kepong lost 14 sen to settle at RM3.99, RM3.57 and RM21.38, respectively.
BLD Plantation Bhd recorded the biggest intraday loss of 58 sen on just 100 shares in volume, closing at RM10.92.
Meanwhile, Nestle Malaysia trimmed 50 sen, down to RM104.00, while Heineken Malaysia and Carlsberg Brewery Malaysia occupied the fourth and fifth spots on the decliners' list, closing at RM23.12 and RM19.88, respectively.
