Bina Darulaman Berhad announce that the Company received the letter of consent from BDO to act as Auditors for the company and its subsidiaries .
The international audit firm states that its hold the office until the conclusion of the next Annual General Meeting of the Company.
The appointment comes after KMPG resigned as the Kedah state owned company's auditor back in September. Bina Darulaman Berhad had claimed that the resignation of its external auditor was just part of a routine governance practice following the extension of their tenure, which spanned ten years from the financial year 2014 to 2023.
Media company's went on overdrive when reports came out that the Kedah state government-linked company saw its auditor resign, speculating if anything was amiss in the company.
Additionally, BDB had said it shortlisted BDO PLT as the new auditor, pending the completion of the official documentation.
