PETALING JAYA, 26 November 2024 – CelcomDigi Berhad (CelcomDigi) today underscored its commitment to building the country's new digital network for the benefit of Malaysian consumers and enterprises through strengthened collaborations with its infrastructure partners. These partnerships are key in delivering the most modern and future-ready digital network by enabling fast rollout, wide coverage, and innovative growth opportunities to meet Malaysia's growing digital demands.
CelcomDigi renewed its strategic partnerships with Edotco Group Sdn Bhd, Edgepoint Infrastructure Sdn Bhd, D'Harmoni Telco Infra Sdn Bhd and PDC Telecommunication Services Sdn Bhd reshaping key terms to future-proof its infrastructure as part of its ongoing nationwide network integration and modernisation exercise.
Through collaborations with the country's four tower companies (towercos), the company is rolling out its network coverage seamlessly and at speed across urban landmarks like the Tun Razak Exchange and Merdeka 118 to remote locations in Sabah and Sarawak. As Malaysia's demand for data continues to grow exponentially, CelcomDigi is also exploring new avenues of innovation with its partners, such as next-generation digital connectivity solutions such as street furniture and in-building solutions. This collaborative approach builds a win-win framework to create a widespread network with the capabilities to support Malaysia's ambition of becoming a leading digital economy.

CelcomDigi's partnerships with the towercos have been pivotal in driving its network integration and modernisation exercise. This nationwide exercise is now close to 70% complete, with over 10,500 sites modernised at end October 2024, and more than 65% customers benefitting from improved quality of experience on the new CelcomDigi intelligent network. The company aims to complete 75% of network upgrades by end of 2024, ahead of its target.
