U.S. stocks were mostly lower, with the Dow Jones index falling more than 100 points on Tuesday.
Shares of AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) rose sharply during Tuesday's session after the company updated its 2024 guidance, raising the bottom end of its adjusted EPS outlook to $2.20-$2.25, above analyst estimates of $2.10.
AT&T is modernizing its 5G wireless network, aiming to complete the transition to open, high-capacity technology by 2027. The network, with deep mid-band 5G spectrum, will cover over 300 million people by the end of 2026.
AT&T shares climbed 4.2% to $23.65 on Tuesday.

- Credo Technology Group Holding Ltd (NASDAQ:CRDO) surged 43.5% to $68.58 after the company reported better-than-expected second-quarter financial results issued guidance above estimates. Also, multiple firms raised their respective price targets on the stock.
- Porch Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:PRCH) gained 24.5% to $4.6950.
- Uxin Limited (NASDAQ:UXIN) climbed 17.2% to $4.95 as the company reported a strategic partnership with CATL's subsidiary to develop battery swapping ecosystem for used cars.
- Vir Biotechnology, Inc. (NASDAQ:VIR) rose 14.2% to $9.31.
- Core & Main, Inc. (NYSE:CNM) shares climbed 14.1% to $55.11 after the company reported better-than-expected quarterly EPS and sales.
- BigBear.ai Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:BBAI) gained 12.3% to $2.46.
- Sunstone Hotel Investors, Inc. (NYSE:SHO) surged 10.9% to $11.94.
- MP Materials Corp. (NYSE:MP) gained 10.2% to $22.94.
- GrafTech International Ltd. (NYSE:EAF) shares surged 9.7% to $2.0400.
- BingEx Limited (NASDAQ:FLX) rose 9.3% to $8.48.
- JinkoSolar Holding Co., Ltd. (NYSE:JKS) gained 8.2% to $26.72.
- Applied Optoelectronics, Inc. (NASDAQ:AAOI) jumped 7.8% to $43.93.
- Alpha and Omega Semiconductor Limited (NASDAQ:AOSL) gained 7.7% to $44.56.
