Samaiden Group Berhad announce that its wholly-owned subsidiary has been shortlisted by the Energy Commission for the development of a 99.99 Megawatts Large Scale Solar Photovoltaic Plant in Pasir Mas, Kelantan.
The letter of notification it said was issued on 23 December 2024, formally acknowledging that Samaiden as a shortlisted bidder for the project under the Large Scale Solar 5 programme. It was selected under Package 3 (30 MW to 500 MW category) based on its competitive bid and fulfilment of the Request for Proposal criteria.
Samaiden said the LSS Plant, which will have a maximum export capacity of 99.99 MW, is set to contribute significantly to Malaysia's RE capacity. The project will operate under a 21-year Solar Power Purchase Agreement between the group and Tenaga Nasional Berhad and scheduled to achieve its Commercial Operation Date (COD) by 11 October 2027.
