Indonesia aims to increase exports by 7.1 percent to 294.45 billion U.S. dollars in 2025, according to Trade Minister Budi Santoso on Monday.

Santoso noted that this growth aligns with the government's efforts to achieve higher economic expansion. Exports from micro, small, and medium enterprises are expected to grow by 9.63 percent in 2025, reaching 19.33 billion dollars, he said at the ministry.

For 2026, Santoso targets exports to grow by 7.09 percent to 315.31 billion dollars. In 2027, the country's exports are projected to expand by 7.89 percent, reaching 340.20 billion dollars.

The escalation of global conflicts has driven up commodity prices, benefiting Indonesia as one of the world's largest producer of palm oil, thermal coal, and tin. The country also produces gold, nickel, and copper.
