Infomina Berhad announced that it had received a letter of acceptance from the Road Transport Department for the maintenance and support services for the back-end application, infrastructure of data centre, disaster recovery infrastructure and network, as well as the communication for the Automated Awareness Safety System.
The services it added also involve the maintenance of integration services from AwAS to various entities to ensure that digital enforcement processes take place in a highly secure environment.
The tenure of the project is three years commencing from 1 February 2025 to 31 January 2028. During the Period, Infomina said it will also explore the latest technologies, such as 5G infrastructure and automated artificial intelligence, to improve image processing as well as to ensure the seamless integration between the existing and new enforcement cameras.
It will provide project management services and collaborate with the Government's project team, to manage the implementation of the AwAS project.
The value is approximately RM22.35 million (including Sales and Service Tax) for the entire Period. Any further renewal or extension after the Period is at the discretion of RTD.
