④ After that, enter the transaction password to go to the confirmation screen and confirm the order.
How to trade US stocks after hours
One characteristic of MOOMOO Securities is that it is the first in the industry to handle approximately 300 or more stocks that can be traded 24 hours a day.(Stocks that can be traded 24 hours a day are limited)
How to trade after hours (24-hour trading)
On the transaction screen, you must select the session “Overnight” and the expiration date “Today”. Note that orders selected “at night” cannot be placed during pre-market, in-person hours, or post-market hours. Note that if an “nighttime” order is unfulfilled, it will be automatically cancelled after the transaction is completed, and it will not be carried over before, during, or after the market.
Multi-currency purchase method
To trade US stocks, you need to buy them in dollars. When there is a shortage of dollars for the stock you want to buy, there is a convenient “multi-currency purchase (including)” function to place an order by allocating yen.
How to buy US stocks in yen: You can set it from the “Account” → “Other” → “Trade Settings” screen.
With the multi-currency purchase function, it is possible to purchase US stocks in yen without prior exchange. If there are deposits in both dollars and yen, foreign currency will be used preferentially, and the shortfall will be applied in yen. At the time of placing an order, the number of US stocks that can be purchased is calculated at the provisional exchange rate, and the exchange is carried out with Moomoo Securities after 10:00 the next morning. Please note that the exchange cannot be cancelled.
Automatic exchange (foreign currency → yen) method
“Automatic exchange (foreign currency → yen)” is a setting for whether to automatically exchange all US dollar deposits for yen after exchanging yen to dollars, or whether to automatically exchange all US dollar deposits held for yen after selling US stocks.
Automatic exchange (foreign currency → yen) method: You can set it from “Account” → “Other” → “Transaction Settings”.
If this function is turned on, the full amount of dollars held will be exchanged for yen every morning after 10:00 a.m. (Excluding weekends and holidays)
Also, when selling US stocks, they are automatically exchanged for yen after 10:00 a.m. on the business day following the contract date (Japan time). (It also takes place on Japanese holidays)
After US stock dividends are paid in dollars, they are automatically exchanged for yen after 10:00 a.m. Japan time.
US Stock Trading Fees
