Singapore is considering ways to boost its stock market as it lags behind its regional counterparts, reports the Financial Times.

Singapore Exchange (SGX) is currently examining a document proposed by the nation's venture and private capital association, as reported by the Financial Times, citing three individuals familiar with the matter. The Singapore Venture & Private Capital Association (SVCA) includes state funds GIC and Temasek, local and global venture firms, and buyout groups including General Atlantic, Warburg Pincus and KKR.
According to sources, talks have been ongoing since the start of the year, with the Singapore Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (SVCA) presenting proposals that are now being reviewed by the Economic Development Board, Monetary Authority of Singapore, and Ministry of Trade and Industry.
