On June 1st, electric carmakers released their May vehicle delivery transcripts.

On the whole, the delivery volume of the new forces of car building has increased in May compared with April, and the delivery volume of ideal and XPeng Inc. has both exceeded 10,000, showing a bright performance.

Li Auto Inc.: delivery in May increased by 166% compared with the same period last year.

Li Auto Inc. delivered 11496 ideal ONE in May, up 165.9% from a year earlier and 175.9% from a month earlier. Ideal said that since delivery, the cumulative delivery of ideal ONE has reached 171467 vehicles.

As of May 31, 2022, Li Auto Inc. has 233 retail centers in China, covering 108 cities, and 253 after-sales maintenance centers and authorized sheet spray centers covering 214cities.

Shen Yanan, co-founder and president of Li Auto Inc., said:

Although Li Auto Inc. parts suppliers located in the Yangtze River Delta region gradually began to resume part of production, there is still a shortage of parts supply. At present, production at Li Auto Inc. 's Changzhou factory has not fully returned to normal, resulting in delays in the delivery of new cars for some users. Li Auto Inc. is working with suppliers to actively restore production capacity to meet the requirements of epidemic prevention and control and shorten the waiting period for ideal ONE users to pick up cars.

XPeng Inc.: delivery volume in May increased by 78% over the same period last year.

XPeng Inc. delivered 10125 vehicles in May, up 78 per cent from a year earlier and up 12.47 per cent from a month earlier. Among them, XPeng Inc. P7 delivered 4224, XPeng Inc. P5 delivered 3686, XPeng Inc. G3i delivered 2215. From January to May this year, XPeng Inc. delivered a total of 53688 units, an increase of 122% over the same period last year.

XPeng Inc. said that as the core supply chain accelerated the resumption of work and production, double-shift production at the Zhaoqing plant had resumed in mid-May to speed up the delivery of a large number of on-hand orders accumulated since the first quarter.

XPeng Inc. said that for the products that customers are concerned about, it is continuing to make efforts, and it will push another major OTA upgrade in the near future, and the "ACC-L/LCC-L/ high-speed NGP enhanced version" will become the industry's first mass-produced adaptive cruise and lane centering auxiliary function using lidar perception.

In terms of charging layout, by the end of April, XPeng Inc. had operated 954 self-charging stations, including 774 super charging stations and 180 destination charging stations, covering all municipalities and prefecture-level administrative regions in China.

NIO Inc. Automobile: delivery volume in May increased by 38.4% month-on-month

NIO Inc. delivered 7024 cars in May, compared with 6711 in the same period last year, up 4.7 percent from the same period last year and 38.4 percent from the previous month. Of these, there are 5317 high-end smart electric SUV--, including 746 ES8, 2936 ES6 and 1635 EC6, and 1707 ET7, the company's high-end smart electric flagship car.

NIO Inc. delivered 5074 vehicles in April, down 28.6 per cent from a year earlier.

Since 2022, NIO Inc. has delivered a total of 37866 cars, an increase of 11.8% over the same period last year. As of May 31, 2022, the cumulative delivery volume reached 204936 vehicles.

But NIO Inc. also said delivery in May was still limited by blockades related to the outbreak, but car production had been recovering "gradually". The company said in a statement:

In view of the favorable development of the recent epidemic and strong order inflows, NIO Inc. plans to further increase production capacity to a higher level by working closely with supply chain partners and accelerate delivery from June.

NIO Inc. said that demand for NIO Inc. orders continued to be strong in May and production was expected to resume further in June as supply chain companies returned to work and delivery of models, including the ET7, would accelerate. The intelligent cockpit hardware upgrade plan, which is composed of 8155 chips, intelligent gateways, high-definition cameras and 5G modules, will be announced at a new product launch in the near future.

NIO Inc. shares rose 1.6 per cent before trading after the release of the data.

Nashi car: delivery increased by 144% in May compared with the same period last year

Data show that a total of 11009 cars were delivered in Nahu in May, an increase of 144% over the same period last year. The cumulative delivery volume from January to May was 49974 units, an increase of 213% over the same period last year.

Since the beginning of this year, Nahu car sales have increased significantly, and successfully squeezed into the new power car sales list of the top three.
