Elon Musk's $Tesla (TSLA.US)$ has significantly ramped up hiring at its Gigafactory in Texas for the much-awaited Cybertruck.
What Happened: Tesla has posted new job openings on it career page for its Gigafactory in Texas, with opportunities available in areas such as paint shop, program and production.
The EV giant is actively seeking to fill various roles at its Cybertruck division. Tesla is hiring for positions related to the Cybertruck's paintshop, including technicians and engineers for manufacturing, automation, process and equipment divisions among others.
Gigafactory Texas is a U.S. manufacturing hub for Model Y and the future home of Cybertruck, Tesla says on its website.
Last month, Musk called the Cybertruck an "epic" vehicle and confirmed that its coming later this year.
In a February tweet, Musk said that that handling demand for the Cybertruck won't be an issue, but "ramping production" will likely be a challenge.
Tesla has applied for a patent on the "ultra-hard" steel alloy it plans to use for the body of its Cybertruck, reported Electrek.
Since unveiling in 2019, the Cybertruck has been one of the most anticipated product launches from the Tesla stable and one of the most hyped vehicle launches of all time.
