General Motors Co. is adapting its electric vehicles to Tesla Inc.’s Superchargers, gaining access to a network of 12,000 chargers and all but ensuring it will become an industry standard in the US. William Wilkes reports on Bloomberg Television.

  • 00:03 Anybody who's charged electric vehicles in many parts of Europe will know,
  • 00:07 you know, there are a range of different charges available right now.
  • 00:12 I think that's the
  • 00:13 interesting significance of this, Anna, is that the
  • 00:16 HOME
  • 00:17 manufacturers are moving towards kind of
  • 00:20 more standard equipment and the world,
  • 00:23 the US and Europe need millions.
  • 00:25 And millions of
  • 00:26 EV charges and I think company boardrooms,
  • 00:29 I kind of decided.
  • 00:30 That look, we need to come together and and save costs and make make this just
  • 00:34 easy for the consumer.
  • 00:35 There's still a lot of kind of
  • 00:38 concerns from consumers and drivers about purchasing an electric car,
  • 00:42 and the idea that it's going to be easy to charge, you'll be able to find your charging points
  • 00:47 in in more places will will make them more relaxed about buying an electric vehicle.
