According to financial reports, Kuaishou's e-commerce business GMV in the second quarter increased 38.9% year on year to 265.5 billion yuan.

Live streaming revenue for the second quarter was 9.97 billion yuan, accounting for 35.9%, an increase of 16.4% over the previous year. Other services, including e-commerce, accounted for 12.4%.

Obviously, after several quarters of transformation, advertising has become the number one pillar of Kuaishou's revenue.

In terms of gross margin, Kuaishou's gross margin increased 0.38% to 50.2% month-on-month in the second quarter, exceeding market expectations.

Being able to achieve such results shows that the company's revenue structure is continuously being optimized.

In terms of costs, thanks to the continuous implementation of fine management, Q2 Kuaishou's sales/management/R&D expenses also decreased by 1.4%/1.1%/3.9%, respectively.

Coupled with improvements in server and bandwidth usage efficiency, gross margin levels are expected to continue to rise in the second half of the year.
