The group achieved profit of HK$24.57 million during the period, an increase of 20.55% over the previous year; losses attributable to shareholders of HK$208,000; profit attributable to shareholders of HK$52.97 million for the same period last year, which was a profit and loss of HK$52.97 million over the same period last year; and a basic loss of 0.7 HK cents per share.
According to the announcement, the group is mainly engaged in household goods business, planting business and decoration business. Although the financial services business has not been in business for the past two years, the company has made continuous efforts to explore the opportunities of this business segment. In particular, the Hong Kong Government set up a task force in August 2023 to increase the liquidity of the Hong Kong stock market and strengthen Hong Kong's competitiveness as an international financial center through various measures in the short, medium and long term. Furthermore, the Group will continue to focus on developing its main business and seeking appropriate business opportunities to enter businesses that are expected to generate synergistic benefits with its main business.
