Pestech International Bhd, in a joint venture with Sky High Construction Sdn Bhd, has secured a RM109.98 million electrical substation construction project in Entinggan, Kuching, Sarawak, from Syarikat SESCO Bhd.
This marks Pestech's fourth civil and engineering works project announced in the current year.
Despite recent setbacks, including contract terminations and legal issues, the company expressed optimism about its industry prospects.
The Entinggan Substation development is expected to enhance supply reliability and address the growing organic and industrial load in Kuching.
The project, set to begin on December 26 and last 23 months, is anticipated to contribute to Pestech's financial performance in the fiscal years ending September 30, 2024, and 2025.
