N-able Insiders Sell US$659k Of Stock, Possibly Signalling Caution
Many N-able, Inc. (NYSE:NABL) insiders ditched their stock over the past year, which may be of interest to the company's shareholders. Knowing whether insiders are buying is usually more helpful when evaluating insider transactions, as insider selling can have various explanations. However, shareholders should take a deeper look if several insiders are selling stock over a specific time period.
While we would never suggest that investors should base their decisions solely on what the directors of a company have been doing, logic dictates you should pay some attention to whether insiders are buying or selling shares.

N-able Insider Transactions Over The Last Year
In the last twelve months, the biggest single sale by an insider was when the CEO, President & Director, John Pagliuca, sold US$515k worth of shares at a price of US$13.23 per share. That means that an insider was selling shares at around the current price of US$13.09. While insider selling is a negative, to us, it is more negative if the shares are sold at a lower price. In this case, the big sale took place at around the current price, so it's not too bad (but it's still not a positive).

Does N-able Boast High Insider Ownership?
N-able
Looking at the total insider shareholdings in a company can help to inform your view of whether they are well aligned with common shareholders. I reckon it's a good sign if insiders own a significant number of shares in the company. N-able insiders own about US$21m worth of shares. That equates to 0.9% of the company. This level of insider ownership is good but just short of being particularly stand-out. It certainly does suggest a reasonable degree of alignment.
