DJ Dufry, Hainan Development Initiate Collaboration Deal in China

Dufry AG said Tuesday it has signed a cooperation agreement with Hainan Development Holdings Co. to develop duty-free opportunities in the Chinese island province of Hainan.
The Swiss travel retailer said the "first step of this collaboration" will focus on the Chinese company's development of the duty-free operation at the Mova Mall in Haikou, Hainan's provincial capital.
The Mova Mall complex is an important tourism destination that welcomed 22 million people in 2019, Dufry said.
Dufry will supply global brands for the Mova Mall duty-free shop, the company said.
