Gelonghui March 13 | CITIC Telecom (01883.HK) announced its annual results. For the year ended December 31, 2023, the Group's total revenue was HK$9,887 billion, a slight decrease of about 1.2% from HK$10.111 billion in the same period last year. In 2023, profit attributable to the company's shareholders was HK$1,231 million (including the 2023 revaluation income of HK$14 million), up 3.4% from the same period last year of HK$1,191 billion (including the 2022 investment property revaluation income of HK$9 million). In 2023, basic earnings per share were HK33.3 cents, up 3.1% from 2022.
The Board of Directors recommended a final dividend of HK19.3 cents per share in 2023. Together with the 2023 interim dividend of HK6.0 cents per share, the dividend for the full year of 2023 is HK25.3 cents per share, an increase of 3.3% over the same period last year.
Telecommunication service revenue for the year ended 31 December 2023 was HK$8.569 billion, a decrease of 3.0% or HK$262 million compared with the previous year. The decrease was mainly due to a decrease in revenue from international telecommunication services and fixed network voice services, partly offset by increased revenue from mobile communications services, enterprise business and Internet business.
For the year ended 31 December 2023, the Group's revenue from sales of mobile phones and devices reached HK$1,418 million, an increase of 10.8% or HK$138 million over the previous year.
